Summer So Far

I got out of school about 2 weeks ago and ever since I've been busy every single day. Except for today. I think this is like, my only day I get to spend the entire day in my bed doing nothing but browsing the web. Its a revitalizing feeling.
So far, my summer has consists of work, friends, family, and projects.
I'll start with work first. The most boring subject of all. Work is... work. You have your good days and then you have your bad. For me, 80% of my time at work consists of bad days. Its a sad (but true) statistics. But honestly, I can't complain too much because 1) This is a part time job. 2) Jobs usually aren't that fun. 3) I make money. That's the whole point of me having a job. So overall, work is okay. I can't wait till I turn 18 and have more options though to apply elsewhere.
As for spending time with friends, it makes me so happy to know I have such amazing people in my life. I first hung out with one of my best friend's, Kayla, whom I went to her graduation & her after party at her house. She's so sweet and am so happy for her. Although I'm going to be heart broken when she leaves for college. It's kind of funny because we've only met no more than 7 times (we live about half an hour away from each other) yet we still consider each other extremely good friends. We instantly clicked the second time we met, and have been close ever since.
Last week I went to dinner with Jacob (we got Thai food, so delicious) and got some ice cream from one of our favorite shops (although its really expensive so I think Baskin Robbins will be our new place hahaha). We caught each other up with whats happened over summer and were laughing the entire time. It was really nice to see my best friend although I wish Nick was there with us. But I'm sure the three of us will be hanging out soon anyway.
The next day my sister and I and Faith and Nicole filmed our "video shoot" for the Parachute contest. It was a lot of fun but kind of tiring. Jacob came along to help film us and I edited the video. I did a pretty good job if I must say so myself, but I really just hope we win! If you haven't seen the video yet here it is!

Then after we were done filming Elaine and I had my brother in laws birthday dinner to go to, so we went over to there house and had a nice dinner with the rest of my family. Then afterward we played Taboo and had a lot of fun and good laughs. My family never fails to crack me up.

The next day I got to hang out with my journalism buddies! These three girls are probably the ones I have the most inside jokes with. Probably no one will ever understand, but for us, we constantly make each other laugh by bringing up the most random things, like the Meadow 3000 or Mr. Buckles, Harry Potter, free printers, and so much more. We all headed over to Bahar's where her dad drover us to the fair. Unfortunately for us, we waited TWO HOURS on the stupid free way only to have cops close off the exit and not allow anybody in the fair. We. Were. Pissed.
Katie: "But I can just smell those garlic fries. They're calling my name!"
Me: "Man I wanted those cheese fries."
That's all we could think about on the ride back. BUT. The fun didn't just end abruptly. Instead we headed over the movie theaters. We had lunch at Daphne's (I had Chipotle) and browsed around since the move we wanted to watch started 2 hours later. We ended up watching Bridesmaids which was hilarious. Not as funny as I though it was going to be, but funny none the less. I had so much fun with the girls and am so excited for the next time we hang out :)

Yesterday I got to hang out with one of my closest friends Eanna! She's going to
head off to college soon so I want to spend as much time with her as I possibly can. I love her so much, she was one of the first friends I made in high school. We did golf together and she never ever fails to bring a smile to my face. I also adore her mom, who always gave me rides to golf practice and home. We went out for lunch at one of my favorite pho places and because we didn't have any classes together we talked about so many things that happened during the school year. I didn't get a picture with her but I took her to one of my favorite yogurt places and snapped a picture of our yogurt mountains.
Afterward, she had a little bit more time to hang out with me so she came up to my room and gave me a mini guitar lesson :) Every time she comes over she tries to give me a guitar lesson and I always fail, but I do try! I'm so blessed to have a friend like her :)

After Eanna left my sister took me to Nordies because she had to pick up an eye primer from Chanel and she also offered to buy me something I wanted :) So I got MAC Satin Taupe and this gorgeous bracelet from Aldo.

I have such a kind, wonderful sister. And then she took me out to dinner at Souplantation which was delish. So far summer has been very kind to me and I cant wait for whats in store! I hope you guys are enjoying your summer!

  2. Hello Beth! I occasionally check the comments so I apologize for this late response. But thank you! I as well am attending Comic Con for the third time this year and am really excited. Less than a week to go, I cant believe it! But I was actually invited to the party from connections my brother was able to get me. Unfortunately it is a very VIP type of event, and I dont believe other Comic-Con attendees will be invited ): Im not attending this year either haha. But nontheless you'll still be able to see him in person this year if you go to the panel! Its a lot of fun I promise :)
